13 – 16 September

Head of UCEU, Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., and Representative of the Head and Authorised Vice-Rector for International Relations of UCEU, JUDr. Ivo Hlaváček, PhD., MBA, took part in the Public Law and the Economic Crisis conference, organised by the European Group of Public Law in Greece.

21 – 23 February

Head of UCEU, Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., and Representative of the Head and Vice-Rector for International Relations, JUDr. Ivo Hlaváček, PhD., MBA, took a business trip to Ganesha University of Education Singaraja in Indonesia.

11 – 13 February

As part of developing contacts with foreign partners, a memorandum of cooperation was signed during a trip abroad visiting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. On 11 February 2012, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Goris State University (GSU) and UCEU. The memorandum was signed by Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., Head and Founder of UCEU, and prof. Jurij Safaryan, Rector of GSU. 13 February. 2012, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Artsakh State University (ASU) and UCEU. The memorandum was signed by Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., head and founder of UCEU, and prof. Stepan Dadayan, rector of ASU.

2009

7 May

At Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín there was a meeting at the level of Vice-Rectors for International Relations, PhDr., Ing. Aleš Gregar, CSc., and doc. Mgr. Peter Juza, CSc., PhD. It was initiated by UCEU. During the meeting, matters of cooperation between schools in pedagogy and science were discussed, along with implementation of the SOCRATES AND ERASMUS programmes. Present at the discussions was also PhDr. Jana Burianová, Director of the Czech Centre Bratislava.

6 April

Students took part in the talk with the Head of the Information Centre of the UN in Prague, Michal Brož, which took place at the conference hall of the UN library. The UN Information Centre in Prague is also where representatives of the UN Secretariat in the Czech Republic are based.
The one-day visit to Prague was organised by the Institute of International Relations, and also taking part in the visit were doc. JUDr. Daniela Nováčková, CSc., and Mgr. Peter Hoffmann, PhD. With this visit, UCEU tried to directly communicate information about the largest organisation in the world (the UN) to students who have the UN as part of their study plans and they enriched the theory that they had with some practice.
Mr. Brož familiarised students with how the international structures of the UN work and he informed them about important topics that the worldwide organisation is engaged in.

2 March

UCEU students took part in an educational programme about the activities of the UN regarding the UN's peace operations at the UN Information Centre in Prague. The programme was led by the Head of the Information Centre, Mgr. Michal Brož. An interesting lecture presented to students how the UN has an irreplaceable role in ensuring and asserting peace in the world. The scope and complexity of the UN's mission in conflict areas throughout the world was presented, showing many examples of specific peace-making actions. By their constructive material actions, students made a valuable contribution to the enrichment of their knowledge.

23 February

As part of developing contacts with foreign partners, UCEU signed a memorandum of understanding in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, between UCEU and the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AGOS). The memorandum was signed by Dr. h.c. Ing. H. Schwarczová, PhD., Head and Founder of UCEU, and prof. K. Nazarov, DrSc., Rector of AGOS. Also taking part in the ceremonial act of signing was the extraordinary and mandated Slovak ambassador to Uzbekistan, JUDr. J. Mačišák, CSc. Fulfilment of the contents of the memorandum is being continuously taken care of by Vice-Rectors for International Relations doc. P. Juza, CSc., PhD., (on behalf of UCEU) and prof. F. Irgašev, DrSc. (on behalf of AGOS).
During the visit a lecture on The Slovak Constitution was given to students and the pedagogical faculty AGOS – the key to creating and expressing the sovereignty of a country.

2008

22 - 26 February

The Director/Head, Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, doc. Mgr. Peter Juza, CSc., PhD., were on a business trip in Uzbekistan. As part of developing contacts, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Tashkent, Uzbekistan between University of Central Europe in Skalica and the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

July

The UCEU delegation, led by the head and founder, Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., visited Cyprus, where they met with management of universities and established working contacts with the largest local state university, University of Cyprus, and with the private European University Cyprus. During the meeting, matters of cooperation between schools in pedagogy and science were discussed, along with implementation of the SOCRATES AND ERASMUS programmes. Discussions on possible collaboration with the private Frederick University in Nicosia also took place. At the end of their working stay, the UCEU delegation met with the extraordinary and mandated Slovak ambassador to Cyprus, PhDr. Anna Tureničova.

2007

14 May

In Katowice, Poland, a conference on the topic: “Standing of Non-Public Education in Countries of the Visegrad Four” took place.
   
The conference was organised by our partner school within the Erasmus programme, The General Jerzy Ziętek Silesian School of Management. At the conference, representatives of private universities from countries of the Visegrad Four presented their lectures, that is people from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

UCEU represented Slovakia. Presenting on behalf of the school was prof. PhDr. Zuzana Martináková, PhD., with her lecture Structure of Private Universities in Slovakia and the Specific Nature of Education at UCEU.

Taking part in the conference were prof. PhDr. Zuzana Martináková, PhD., Institutional Coordinator of the Erasmus programme, Dr. h.c. Ing. Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., head of UCEU, Mgr. Katarína Michalicová, Coordinator of the Erasmus programme, and also students from the first and second years at UCEU.

2006

13 - 14 December

An official visit took place by UCEU representatives at VŠERS in České Budějovice, and at this occasion the Head and Founder of UCEU, Heidy Schwarczová, PhD., and VŠERS Rector, prof. Josef Dolista, signed an agreement on cooperation.
Mutual cooperation between universities for the coming five years will be aimed primarily at topics about social, regionalistic and political science aspects, as well as exchanges of students and pedagogical staff, up-to-date information and publications.

Both parties agreed on creating suitable working and studying conditions for the implementation of exchange programmes and on collaboration on scientific research activities. Prof. Erneker gave a detailed presentation of the results of pedagogical activities by VŠERS, Dr. Berová informed about editing activities, Dr. Ferebauerová tasked about the lifelong learning system, and Petra Bandhauer talked about the exchanges of students and pedagogical staff of VŠERS implemented within the ERASMUS programme.

A very interesting presentation was the one by Ing. Skořepa, who brought awareness about the system for securing specialist experience for students via the Closer to the Green Tree project, through which VŠERS students and students from other partner universities can reserve a place for specialist or Bachelor's experience.
Representatives of UCEU made the most of the VŠERS visit to promote the possibilities for studying in Skalica for people interested from the Czech Republic and for specifying the timetable for cooperation on activities of the schools in 2007 – involvement in the Omnibus project, work on the editing board of Auspicia magazine and participation in the international conference A Person in the Shadow of his End.
