Payment of tuition

Applicants for studies (hereinafter referred to as the “applicants”) shall pay tuition prior to enrolling to studies in the academic year in total for the whole academic year or for all entered credits of the academic year, in case of a foreigner. In special cases, UCEU may allow an applicant to pay tuition in instalments. The possibility to pay tuition in instalments must be agreed by the applicant in a special agreement on tuition instalment calendar prior to enrolling to studies for the given academic year. The instalment agreement can be issued for an applicant only based on his or her written request.

The written request for the payment of tuition in instalments must be signed personally by the applicant and delivered personally or via mail to the address of the economic department of UCEU. A request sent by e-mail shall not be accepted. The request should contain specific social reasons why the applicant is asking for the possibility to pay tuition in instalments (e.g. the applicant lives only with one parent, the parent of the applicant is unemployed etc.). In case of acknowledging social reasons, an agreement on instalment calendar shall be issued for the applicant and sent via mail to the address of the permanent residence/mailing address stated in the application of the applicant.

When enrolling to studies, the applicant shall be obliged to present a document confirming the payment of the tuition in full amount. If an applicant has concluded an agreement on tuition instalment payment, he/she shall be obliged to present a document confirming the payment of at least ½ of the set tuition and the agreement on tuition instalment agreement when enrolling to studies. The applicant or the student is consequently obliged to pay the rest of the tuition by deadlines agreed in the agreement on tuition instalment payment.

If the applicant fails to pay tuition or at least its ½ pursuant to the special tuition instalment agreement even after a notice of the university, he/she shall not be enrolled to studies as a student of the university in line with the study code of the university.

Return of tuition

If a student announces to UCEU in writing no later than 30 days after the start of the academic year that he/she decided to abandon studies, UCEU shall return to the student tuition reduced by the processing fee amounting to 20% from the amount of tuition set for the academic year. Fees connected with studies shall not be returned.

If the rector interrupts studies of a student based on his/her written request no later than 30 days after the start of the academic year, UCEU shall return to the student tuition reduced by the processing fee of 20% from the amount of tuition set for the academic year based on his/her written request. Fees connected with studies shall not be returned. If the student does not ask in writing for the tuition to be returned, the paid tuition shall be credited for the academic year after his/her renewed enrolment to studies.
