ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR MASTER STUDIES IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2015/2016

 * A foreigner shall be perceived as someone who is not a citizen of the Slovak Republic.

A condition for opening the study programme is the interest of at least 15 applicants.

Conditions of admission:      

The basic prerequisite for being admitted to studies of the second degree study programme pursuant to Section 53 (1) of the Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Universities and on the Amendment and Supplement to Certain Acts is the graduation from the study programme of the first degree.

Only applicants admitted based on the admission procedure can be enrolled to studies of master study programmes at the University of Central Europe in Skalica. The admission procedure shall start for the applicants for studies by the delivery of their application for studies (with the compulsory annexes) at the University of Central Europe in Skalica and shall be realised without admission exams. The decision about the results of the admission procedure shall be delivered to the applicants for studies within 30 days after the verification and meeting of conditions for studies.

During the studies of the study programmes of the 2nd degree,knowledge of the English language at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is needed.

Application:

The application for studies must be submitted on a prescribed form by the set deadline containing the stated features:

  • Academic year 2015/2016;
  • Requested personal data of applicant;
  • Name of the university (University of Central Europe in Skalica);
  • Name of the study programme that the applicant is interested in;
  • Form of studies (full-time or part-time studies);
  • The year of start and the year of bachelor study completion (also in case of applicants graduating in 2015);
  • Name of the university the applicant graduated from;
  • The study field and the study programme of the university the applicant graduated from;

An overview of results in individual semesters at the university, confirmation of correctness of data from the university (p. 2) and CV of the applicant shall not berequired.

The confirmation of health capacity shall be required only from applicants with reduced health ability.

Required application annexes:

The below stated annexes shall be an inseparable part of the application to be included to the admission procedure.

1. Receipt for the payment of the fee for the admission procedure equalling EUR 50. In case of submitting an electronic application, the fee for the admission procedure shall be EUR 30.

The fee can be paid through a postal order “U” or by a deposit or by a bank transfer to one of the following accounts:

  • Variable symbol: Birth Registration Number of the applicant, constant symbol: 0558
  • In case of foreign students without a birth registration number, the name and surname of the student needs to be included in the note to the payment.

2.Diploma, state exam certificate and annex to the diploma – verified copies (applicants who completed bachelor studies at the University of Central Europe in Skalica do not have to submit these)

Graduates completing the university studies of the first degree in the year of the admission procedure (year of completion of the bachelor studies shall be stated on the application for studies) shall submit verified copies of the diploma, state exam certificate and annex to the diploma no later than on 30 June 2015. In case verified copies, state exam certificate and annex to the diploma cannot be submitted by the given deadline (30 June 2015), the applicant must announce this in writing stating the date by which these documents will be submitted.

3. Applicants who completed first degree university education abroad shall deliver also a verified copy of the decision about the acknowledgement of the foreign education document for academic purposes.
