Payment of tuition

Applicants for studies (hereinafter referred to as the “applicants”) shall pay tuition prior to enrolling to studies in the given academic year in total for the whole academic year or for all entered credits of the academic year, in case of a foreigner. In special cases, UCEU may allow an applicant to pay tuition in instalments. The possibility to pay tuition in instalments must be agreed by the applicant in a special agreement on tuition instalment calendar prior to enrolling to studies for the given academic year. The agreement on instalment calendar can be reached only based on a written request of the applicant to pay tuition in instalments.

The written request for the payment of tuition in instalments must be signed personally by the applicant and delivered personally or via mail to the address of the economic department of UCEU. A request sent by e-mail shall not be accepted. The request should contain specific social reasons why the applicant is asking for the possibility to pay tuition in instalments (e.g. the applicant lives only with one parent, the parent of the applicant is unemployed, etc.). In case of acknowledging social reasons, the agreement with the payment calendar shall be issued to the applicant and sent by mail to the address of permanent residence/mailing address stated in the application of the applicant.

When enrolling, the applicant shall be obliged to present a document proving the payment of the tuition in full amount. If the applicant has concluded an agreement on tuition instalment calendar, he/she shall be obliged to present the document proving the payment of at least ½ of the set tuition and the agreement on tuition instalment calendar when enrolling to studies. The remaining part of tuition shall be paid by the applicant or student consequently by deadlines agreed in the tuition instalment calendar.

If the applicant fails to pay tuition or at least its ½ pursuant to the special tuition instalment agreement even after a notice of the university, he/she shall not be enrolled to studies as a student of the university in line with the study code of the university.

Discount on tuition

UCEU provides university graduates with a discount on tuition in the master’s degree of studies according to the achieved weighted study results average on the bachelor’s degree of studies at UCEU without evaluating the subjects of the state exam as follows:

  • 15%if the student reached an average better than 1.5
  • 5%if the student reached an average from 1.5 to 2.5
  • Without a discount if the student achieved an average worse than 2.51

Return of tuition

If a student announces to the university in writing no later than 30 days after the start of the academic year that he/she has decided to abandon studies, UCEU shall return to the student tuition reduced by the processing fee amounting to 20% from the amount of tuition set for the academic year. Fees connected with studies shall not be returned by UCEU.

If the rector interrupts studies of a student based on his/her written request no later than 30 days after the start of the winter semester, UCEU shall return to the student tuition reduced by the processing fee of 20% from the amount of tuition set for the academic year based on his/her written request. Fees connected with studies shall not be returned by UCEU. If the student does not ask in writing for the tuition to be returned, the paid tuition shall be credited for the academic year after his/her renewed enrolment to studies.
