Characteristics
The International Relations Bachelor´s Study Programme was accredited as the study programme of the 1st grade in the study field 3.1.5. International Relations.
Bachelor´s Study Programme is frammed in a way the graduates are qualified to work in the Slovak institutions having an international cooperation. Students are prepare to work as the assistants in international organizations, such as European Union, NATO, OECD, and others.
The great emphasis is put on an acquiring of two foreign languages which enabled students to communicate in an international community.
The UCE students will acquire the fundamentals of Slovak law, European law, history of diplomacy, politology, modern economic theories, theory and practice of the European integration. Students will be aquainted with the principles of function of the European Union , its bodies and agencies.
An enormous extent of education is aimed to international relations and world politics and diplomacy – the main attention is paid to political development since 1990 up to the presence. Our students will aquire knowledge from management, geopolitics and diplomatic protocol. The students will gather complex education in order to be able to orient themselves professionaly, in the main problems of today´s world; especially in the European integration process and an enormous international cooperation.
The graduates will be university educated professionals, who will be able to work independently, in the area of international cooperation. The information and knowledge gathered will be the base of their professional work in the public administration in Slovakia; but also at interesting posts of assistants of Europarliament Members, commisioners, deputies or other representatives of international organizations. The experienced graduates can gain the higher professional education and procure the higher working positions, in different bodies with the international cooperation. The prospect of interesting job, in the field of human and international relations, is opened for the graduates of this study programme.
