Characteristics

The Bachelor´s Study Programme Environment was authorized in November 2007 as the study program in the field of studies 4.3.1 Landscape Preservation and Use. It is aimed at the education of graduates with their wide-ranging environmental and socio-economic horizon. The study programme is focused on the acquirement of knowledge and abilities in problem analyzing activities, studies and educational process in the field of general and applied ecology, conservation of nature and natural resources as well as the ecological capacity, landscape exploitation, landscape mapping and environmental management in the context of the sustainable development. On the basis of the knowledge integration of biotic and a-biotic environmental constituents, general ecology and social sciences in association with the holistic approach respect; the graduate will be able to apply the fundamental ecologic principles in the spheres of landscape ecology, natural resources conservation and exploitation and the impacts of human activities on the environment. Natural science disciplines and socio-economic ones are balanced in the study. Within the bounds of study, the students acquire basic education in the sphere of public administration, regional economy, economic geography of SR and social-economic development strategy. The students have possibilities to profile their education towards the anticipated professional versatility. The bachelor´s study programme has been drawn up in a way that its content is aimed to the individual subjects, and fulfills their practice requirements. It enables the graduates to carry out relevant special tasks in the environmental sphere, public administration bodies and organizations, and business subjects, which perform the environmental management and as well as in the organizations ensuring the regional development, including the spheres of culture and tourism.
