Characteristics

The Master´s Study Programme in Environmental Management was accredited as a study programme of the second grade in the field of studies 4.3.3 Environmental Management.The Study Programme in Environmental Management was prepared primary with the regard to needs of the practice; to increase the part of the implementation of progressive processes of environmental management at the level of enterprising of legal subjects, but also on the base of the public administration demands for the professionals who are capable to assess properly and decrease the negative influence of industrial production on environment; apply integrated solutions for the environmental issues; and provide environmental education to the public. The education of professionals is aimed at processes and activities, which have to be solved within the production subjects, public administration, professional organizations; national and international economic, political and social institutions.

The study programme is a follow up to the Bachelor´s Study Programme of Environment, as well as the Bachelor´s Study Programme of Environment and Regional Development at the University of Central Europe in Skalica. The bachelor´ s graduates in the same or similar field of the study can be admitted to this programme.

The Study Programme in Environmental Management profiles the graduate as an environmental professional in the field of planning and managing the sustainabledevelopment in its broad sense. The study programme provides the students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of preservation of environmental components, and impacts on environment; and mediates the progressive systems of managing and designing of the projects, as well as the devices of environmental marketing and public communication.
