Scope of jointly evaluated persons

For the purposes of granting a social scholarship, the following shall be evaluated together with the student, if living in one household with the student:

a) Student's parent if allthe following conditions are met:

  1. He/she has not been obliged by court ruling to provide maintenance to the student or the court determined the scope of maintenance obligation on the proposal after the enrolment of the student to the first university studies at a university having its registered office in the territory of the Slovak Republic;
  2. The student had not been assigned to foster care prior to reaching the age of majority;
  3. The student is single or married and his/her spouse is an unprovided child;
  4. The student has got no children;

b) student's sibling if allthe following conditions are met:

  1. He/she has not reached the age of majority and is in personal care of the parent who is jointly evaluated with the student or has reached the age of majority and is continuously preparing for a future profession pursuant to a special regulation and prior to reaching the age of majority, he/she has not been assigned to foster care;
  2. Not more than one of the student's parents has been obliged by a court ruling to provide to the student’s sibling maintenance or only one of the parents is still alive and the living parent has not been obliged by a court ruling to provide maintenance to the sibling;
  3. He/she is single or married and his/her spouse is an unprovided child;
  4. The student and his/her siblings do not have any children;
  5. He/she has not become entitled to disability pension;
  6. He/she has not acquired university education of the second degree by previous studies;

c) Student's spouse if both these conditions are met:

  1. He/she has not been obliged by a court ruling to provide maintenance to the student; and
  2. He/she is not an unprovided child;

d) Unprovided student's child if both these conditions are met:

  1. It has not been assigned to foster care;
  2. It has not been assigned to personal care of the other parent;

e) Parent of the student's unprovided child if allthe following conditions are met:

  1. The unprovided child is evaluated jointly with the student;
  2. He/she is not an unprovided child; and
  3. He/she has not been obliged by a court ruling to provide maintenance to a child;

f) Spouse of the student's parent (step parent) if both these conditions are met:

  1. The student’s parent is jointly evaluated with the student; and
  2. He/she has not been obliged by a court ruling to provide maintenance to the spouse;

g) Child of the spouse of the student's parent (step sibling) if both these conditions are met:

  1. The spouse of the student’s parent is jointly evaluated with the student; and
  2. He/she has been assigned to personal care of the spouse of the student’s parent;

Missing persons investigation of which is underway at the time of submitting the student's application for granting social scholarship shall not be considered in the scope of the jointly evaluated persons. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, boyfriends, girlfriends or roommates and friends shall not be among the jointly evaluated persons!
